Victorian Storm Challenges
At the same time, approximately one thousand energy customers in Victoria also faced energy failures after Melbourne recorded its wettest day in over 500 days.
Emergency response teams received over five hundred calls for help across the region, mainly for building damage but also for collapsed vegetation and flooding.

At the height on Sunday, more than 28,000 energy customers in the state were lacking electricity.

Moist weather were forecast to persist along significant areas of eastern Queensland this week as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
Tomorrow was predicted as the most rainy day, with continued severe weather risk expected across different parts of both regions.

Public health experts warned that there was an higher risk of weather-related respiratory issues across the countryside regions, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
